Leah Forman

Leah graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies. With a passion for equity and collective advancement, Leah has worked in various roles within education, human services, and as a self-employed business owner to create environments where everyone can thrive and make meaningful contributions. Additionally, Leah holds a certificate in Frontend Engineering from the Turing School of Software & Design, where she extensively studied software development, specializing in modern web technologies, UX/UI design, and data manipulation.

Leah’s numerous accolades reflect a strong commitment to diversity and leadership. Notable awards include the Graduate School Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice Award, the Emerging Leader Award, and the Undergraduate Student Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award from Colorado State University. Additionally, Leah has been honored by the Turing School of Software & Design with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Scholarship and the Katherine Lewis Scholarship. Leah’s achievements were also highlighted on the cover of Colorado State University’s Winter 2021 magazine edition.

Beyond the professional realm, Leah comes from a family of musicians and artists, where creative passion is a source of joy and fulfillment for her.

What Inspired You To Join The U.S. Digital Corps?

"Growing up as a military dependent and surrounded by technology, I quickly recognized the value of having access to technological resources, especially with the rapid advancements today. I have a deep passion for working with people and solving problems to enhance productivity and provide opportunities for individuals to engage with the technical aspects of our society. I am truly inspired to work within the government, where I can deepen my technical and professional abilities while helping to improve systems and resources for everyone."

Fun Fact:

Leah is a well-rounded creative; she is a dancer, singer/songwriter, producer, amateur graphic designer and she plays three instruments.
