Jenny Park

Jenny is a recent graduate from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Computer Science and Justice and Peace Studies. During her time there, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Massive Data Institute on the Forced Migration project, using Large Language Models to predict forced migration routes. Alongside her research, she has applied her passion for using data science for public policy to other organizations, such as CARECEN DC and the United Nations. Additionally, Jenny is on track to earn her MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University SIPA with a specialization in Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis.

In her free time, Jenny loves to wander through local farmers’ markets, take her schnauzer to the dog park, and travel wherever and whenever she can!

What Inspired You To Join The U.S. Digital Corps?

"With my first computer science course I took in college, I knew that I wanted to use my skills to support broader social change and public good. Since then, I have been cultivating both my knowledge in peace studies and conflict transformation alongside my technical skills in data science. USDC was the perfect opportunity to merge these interests into a career with a clear forward trajectory, an opportunity unlike any other options I had considered prior to learning about the program."

Fun Fact:

Jenny can speak Modern Standard Arabic and is always looking for more people to practice speaking with!
