Haley Johnson
Haley is passionate about using data science to create effective policies and evaluate their implementation. She holds an M.S. and B.S. from the University of Michigan, where she studied data science, statistics, and digital studies. Her master’s thesis developed novel methods to estimate public opinion using small, non-representative samples. Haley previously worked at a voter engagement organization, to experimentally measure the effectiveness of various get-out-the-vote initiatives. She has also interned at social media platforms, productivity software companies, and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Haley is a native of Northern Michigan and grew up on the shores of the Great Lakes. She is a runner, backpacker, amateur baker, and crossword puzzle enthusiast.
