Anastasia Gradova

Anastasia earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Columbia University, where she took part in the Emerging Scholars program, Columbia Build Lab, and Design @ Columbia. She is a developer with a passion for how artificial intelligence is shaping our world.

Anastasia is an ex-professional basketball player from Russia who moved to the United States after leaving the sports world, and she has also worked as a bartender and manager. She holds two additional degrees from Ural Federal University, a BA in Business Administration and a MA in Social Work, where she was recognized as an outstanding student-athlete and top student in her class. Anastasia has taken classes in natural language processing, graph theory, artificial intelligence, visual databases, UI/UX design, and software development. She enjoys researching the ethical implications of AI models in social systems and biases introduced by training data. In her off time, she enjoys running, watching hockey, gardening, and reading.
